Need to Send Me Tracks?

If you’re trying to send me files for mixing or production, follow these steps:

Organize Your Tracks

Before sending your tracks my way, please do the following:

  1. Open up the most recent DAW session of your song.

  2. Bounce a version of your current rough mix for me to reference.

    • Name this file “Your-Song-Title_Tempo_Key”.

  3. Rename any particularly confusing track titles.

  4. Bypass all plugins, effects, and automation so that the tracks are raw.

  5. Batch export your files, using the option that adds the track number to the beginning of the file name.

Zip Your Files

  1. Open the destination folder of your newly exported audio files.

  2. Drag the bounced rough mix into the folder.

  3. Select all of the audio files and compress them into a zip file.

    • Click on your OS below for a tutorial on how to do this.

  4. Name this file “Your-Artist-Name_Your-Song-Title”

Send the Zip File via WeTransfer

  1. Open your web browser and go to WeTransfer.com, a free (and safe) file transfer service.

  2. Drag your zip file onto their homepage.

  3. Under “Email to”, type “dylan@dylanpines.com”.

  4. Click “Transfer", and then open your email. WeTransfer will quickly send you an email with a code to enter on their website, which validates your transfer.

  5. Enter the code, and the zip file will be sent to my inbox.
